Lyle Weinert is a certified public accountant with more than 30 years of experience in small business and personal accounting. A Kansas native, he earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics and accounting from Southwestern College and his MBA from Baylor University (Waco, Texas).  He began his career at a Big 4 (then Big 8) accounting firm before becoming the controller and director of finance and accounting of a manufacturing company and a trucking company, both closely-held sister corporations operating in Wichita, Kansas.  Lyle joined the business faculty at Southwestern College in Winfield while also starting an accounting practice, which he expanded to full-time status in 1996. 

Lyle is committed to the city of Winfield, and was a member of the inaugural Leadership Winfield class. He currently is president of the USD 465 (Winfield) School Board, where he is in his 13th year of service. In addition, he is a member of Chamber of Commerce, the USD 465 Foundation board of directors, and an active member of Cornerstone Bible Fellowship. 

Lyle and his wife, Sara, have four grown children.
